How we handle your personal information and confidential enquiries.

Last updated: 6 October 2026

Who we are and how to contact us

We are FINN Business Sales – Business Brokers West, operated by BBW Enterprises Pty Ltd (ABN 19 147 562 427), Level 1, 8/251 Adelaide Terrace, Perth WA 6000. This policy explains our handling of personal information with reference to the Australian Privacy Principles.

For privacy questions, contact Barry Western at barry.western@finnbusinesssales.com.au, call 0457 933 094, or write to our address above.

What we collect

We collect information you enter in our enquiry form or give us by phone or email. This may include your name, email, phone number, location, business details, enquiry type, preferred contact method and message. Business details may include industry, revenue range and proposed sale timing if you choose to supply them.

We also collect website usage and campaign data, such as pages viewed, referring sources, browser and device information, approximate location and actions such as form submissions, phone clicks and email clicks. Cookies and similar technologies help collect this information.

You can ask a general question without providing detailed business information. If you do not provide contact details, we may be unable to respond or provide the service you request.

Why we use information

We use information to respond to enquiries, assess service fit, provide business broking services, manage our relationship with you, and improve our website and advertising. We also use it to maintain records, protect our systems and meet legal obligations.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. It uses cookies and similar technologies to collect and process website usage data and help us measure visits and enquiry actions.

Google Ads, remarketing and Google signals

We use Google Ads, including remarketing, and Google signals. These features may help show our ads to past visitors on other websites and measure advertising activity. Where you have consented, Google may associate this data with your signed-in Google account. Google and other advertising providers may use cookies or similar identifiers for these purposes.

Hashed contact details and advertising measurement

When a seller, appraisal, valuation or M&A enquiry is successfully submitted and you have selected Accept all, the Google tag may securely normalise and hash the email address and phone number supplied in the form and provide the hashed values to Google for advertising measurement and attribution. We do not send the enquiry message, business details, revenue information or sale reasons to Google for Enhanced Conversions. Hashing is a security measure, not anonymisation. If you reject Marketing tools or select Analytics only, this Enhanced Conversions data is not sent. Your enquiry is delivered to Barry regardless of cookie choice.

Form processing and other service providers

Our enquiry form uses FormSubmit, a third-party form processing service, to deliver submissions to Barry. Barry can manually enter enquiries into our Pipedrive CRM for follow-up. We also use hosting, email, analytics and advertising providers. The website includes Metricool and LinkedIn measurement tools, which may collect website usage information through cookies and similar technologies.

We may disclose information to service providers assisting us, advisers acting at your direction, and parties where disclosure is required or permitted by law. Access should be limited to the information needed for the relevant purpose.

Some providers may process or store information outside Australia, including in the United States. The locations depend on the provider and service. Contact us if you need information about overseas handling before sharing sensitive information.

Your advertising and cookie choices

Optional analytics and marketing tools load only after your cookie choice permits them. Select Reject optional, Analytics only, or Accept all. Use Cookie settings to change your choice at any time. Your choice is stored for up to six months. Enquiry delivery works regardless of this choice. Consented first-touch campaign attribution is stored for up to 90 days.

You can manage personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings: adssettings.google.com. The Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on is available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. These choices may affect some website features or measurement. They do not stop you from contacting us directly, and opting out of personalised advertising does not remove all advertising.

You can ask us to stop direct marketing or withdraw consent for future consent-based use by contacting Barry. This does not affect processing already carried out or records we need to retain for legal reasons.

Confidentiality, storage and security

We treat the business information you share as confidential. We agree an appropriate disclosure process before sharing detailed sale information with prospective buyers. Please arrange a secure method with us before sending sensitive documents or detailed financial records.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. Internet and email transmission carry security risks. We retain information for service delivery, record-keeping and legal requirements, and take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, subject to those requirements.

Access and correction

You can ask us for access to your personal information or request a correction by contacting Barry. We may need to verify your identity. We will consider your request and explain our response, including any lawful reason for refusing access or a correction.

Privacy complaints

If you are concerned about how we handle your information, contact Barry with the details. We will consider the concern, investigate where needed and respond within a reasonable period. You have the right to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), including if you are dissatisfied with our response. Information about making a complaint is available at oaic.gov.au.

Policy updates

We may update this policy when our services or information-handling practices change. The date above shows when this version was updated.
